Multicultural Care Center provides culturally appropriate, person-centered housing & supportive services. We focus on single adults, single-parent households with small children, and newly arrived immigrant families experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
Our goal is to help increase the housing options for people who are ready to transition from a temporary housing arrangements and more restricted settings—group homes and foster care—into a more independent living with fewer rules and greater integration into the community.
Our certified housing access coordinators will help participants develop a housing plan with the aim of finding affordable, accessible, and safe housing in neighborhoods of participants’ choosing. We then provide qualify supportive services to participant to maintain their housing permanently. Our services are less intrusive and customized to each participant.
Our housing advocates are skilled at navigating the housing market in our service areas and developed positive relationship with both large property managements and small landlords. Despite having multiple barriers to housing, we are successful at finding our program participants a housing that fits their needs.
We accept referrals through the Hennepin Housing Key, and County case management agencies and shelters.
Our services are available to all eligible individuals and our program is best suited for clients who already have some degree of stability and the ability to live independently, and who are looking for the next step in their housing journey while still receiving support due to their disabilities.
